Your life. Your business.
Personal — 26 spaces
What you have to do, and what you spent.
Tasks and projects, a calendar that shares them, routines with streaks, markdown notes with a journal, the ledger, the photographs, the maps, the ranked lists of what you like.
Business — 11 more
Lead to invoice, and the work in between.
A deal moves through the pipeline. An accepted quote becomes an invoice or a job. The job gets scheduled, checklisted and photographed. The hours come back as unbilled time.
One database
The divide is a filter, not a fork.
Every row carries which side it belongs to, and the toggle filters on that column. Never two apps, never two databases — which is why a question that crosses the line is a query rather than a project.
What you do with it
Seven things it is for.
Not the whole list — the fundamentals. The rest is on the features page, including the parts that deliberately aren't there.
-
Land on Today
What is due, what you logged, and the handful of things you decided to keep in front of you. It is where the app opens, and it is the one space you cannot switch off.
-
Write it down
Markdown notes in notebooks, wiki-links between them, and a dated page for the day you are in. Publish one to a public link if you want to, frozen at the moment you published it.
-
Watch the money
Transactions, budgets, subscriptions and savings goals in one ledger, with an optional read-only bank connection. Read-only by construction: there is no code path in the app that could move money.
-
Get from lead to paid
The pipeline holds the deal, the quote converts, the job gets scheduled and photographed, the hours land on a timesheet and come back as unbilled time ready to invoice.
-
Ask across all of it
Insights looks for signals in your whole workspace that move together — whether the months you keep the routine are the months you get paid faster — and refuses to show you anything that could be coincidence.
-
Use AI on your own key
Bring a key from Anthropic, OpenAI or xAI. It is encrypted in your own row, decrypted in memory for one request, and the ledger records which feature ran and how many tokens it spent — never what you wrote. Two places use it so far.
-
Take all of it with you
Settings → Export writes one archive: every record as JSON, the prose as markdown, the tables as CSV, and the files themselves. The manifest counts each table twice and names any disagreement rather than smoothing it.
Surface area
Thirty-seven spaces. Turn off the ones you don't want.
A space that is off contributes no page, no sidebar row, no search result and no notification, and its data waits untouched for the day you turn it back on. Three cannot be switched off, because turning any of them off would strand you.

Both routes end up in the same place, because there is only one workspace underneath them.

The deal moves to won.
It has been sitting in the pipeline with a stage and a probability against it. Now it is real, and there are two reasonable next moves.

A quote goes out, and it can become the job by itself.
Line items, a total, a PDF. When the client accepts it, the quote converts — into an invoice, or into a job, without anything being retyped.

The work happens, and the hours land on their own.
A running timer against the job, or an entry typed afterwards. Either way the time is attached to the client and the job, and it is now unbilled.

The invoice is built from the hours, not from memory.
Unbilled time becomes line items. The status is derived from the payment ledger rather than set by hand, so "paid" means money was recorded, not that somebody remembered to change a dropdown.

The routine is a checklist that remembers.
A morning routine, a workout, a Sunday reset. Ticking it through keeps a streak, and the streak is the only pressure the app ever applies.

The ledger already knows what happened.
Transactions typed in, imported from CSV, or pulled from a read-only bank connection. Budgets sit over the top of them, and the subscriptions you forgot about are on the same page.

Today is assembled from the spaces you kept: the routine you are mid-way through, the budget that went over, the tasks with a date on them. Nothing was copied anywhere to make that happen.

Ownership
The database is a file on a disk you own.
- No adsNothing inside DoveBoard is trying to sell you something.
- No miningYour notes and your numbers never leave your machine.
- No lock-inIt is your database. Export it, move it, keep it.
- No kill switchYour install never asks us for permission to run.
There is no account on our servers, because there is no server of ours anywhere in the path. Nothing in the application transmits your data: no telemetry, no crash reporting to us, no sync service. That is not a policy we could change next quarter — it is what the software does.
It is also not finished. There are no push notifications, no mobile app beyond installing the site as one, no clustering, and no testimonials, because nobody has bought it yet. Those are on the limits list rather than left off it.
